So you’re coming to go ATV Riding with Moore ATV Rentals—what to expect.
First time at Croom?
Croom Motorcycle Area at Withlacoochee State Forest-with more than 2600 acres of trails. The Croom-Sand Hill Day Use Area is one of the best riding areas in the State of Florida with a 300 acre open riding area with soft "sugar" sand, limited trees, lots of berms, whoops, miles of trails, and so much more. Also located within Sand Hill, are picnic tables, restrooms, and free parking.
Checking In
Once you arrive at the Croom Motorcycle Area-Sand Hill Day Use Area, which will be the very FIRST LEFT, once you drive past the guard shack (you do NOT have to pay any fees at the Gate). There will be a sign that says SAND HILL-DAY USE AREA. As you enter, look for the MOORE ATV RENTALS trailer. You will meet with the CREW. They will go through the paperwork and make sure everyone has checked in.
Getting your Rentals
After the paperwork is complete, you will be fitted for a helmet and then go over the OHV safety and instructions. All riders are required to show they understand the instructions and can control the ATVs, UTVs and/or Dirt bikes. After you show us you know your rental, you’re ready for an adventure.
Riding Area
Once you get your rental, you can ride down to the dune entrance. Once at the entrance, you can continue forward and play in the sand right away, with whoops and berms, or turn right where there are numerous berms and more. This is a self-guided tour, so you are free to explore all areas of Sand Hill and the Trails* throughout Croom during your rental time.
*Trails: Depending on your rental duration time, the 2 HR rental offers the dune area plus access to up to 1800 acres of trails, and the 3 HR, Half and Full day rentals offer the dune area plus access to the FULL 2600 acres of trails.
